I’m very intentional about how I scent my candles. While pure essential oils are wonderful for cold diffusion, subjecting them to direct flame heat alters their chemical structure, which degrades the aroma and can actually release toxic or irritating compounds into your home. To avoid this, I select the cleanest, highest-quality fragrance blends available, including formulations mindfully blended with essential oils from conscious makers like Lark Fragrances and Voyageur Soap & Candle in British Columbia.

My scent choices are subtle and deeply rooted in aromatherapy, designed to softly mimic the natural world rather than dominate a space. To preserve the integrity of the fragrance and keep your indoor air clean, I always recommend burning your candle for 2 to 3 hours at a time.

There are many wicks on the market, and after numerous tests and much research I chose an eco-conscious wick made from natural, unbleached cotton. Primed with vegetable wax, this wick is engineered for a cleaner burn that produces minimal soot, supporting better indoor air quality. It's a mindful and healthy choice for your home, proudly made in North America.

In some of my vessels I also use wood wicks. Made from FSC-certified wood, with their exceptional performance, including enhanced flame consistency, prolonged burn time, and minimal soot emission, these wicks elevate any candle experience. 

I use a premium coconut soy blend selected for its exceptional, creamy texture and performance in my cement vessels.

Coconut wax is widely considered the "champagne" of waxes. It provides a gorgeous, creamy white finish and burns slower than any other wax, meaning your candle lasts significantly longer. It also offers the cleanest burn on the market, producing zero soot and keeping the air in your home pure.

Each vessel is hand poured in studio. Designed to be solid, unique and enduring, MY cement pieces are built to last a lifetime. They are consciously sealed with a carefully chosen environmentally friendly sealant (Earth Safe) to ensure safety and longevity. Once your candle is done, the vessel can be refilled multiple times or easily repurposed as a beautiful, functional object in your home.
